Restricted Items

Mexican Customs prohibits the following items to be imported with the used household goods shipments.

If included in the shipment, it could result from being thrown in the garbage to heavy fines including delaying the release of the shipment from customs to the loss of our broker’s license.

Food- not even canned, dried or sealed. Not even salt or pepper.

Medicine- not even over the counter medicine like aspirin.

Alcohol- not even wine, hard liquor or beer.

New items- all items have to be used, not even a toy car can be in its original packaging. If an item if found to be new, it will have to be removed from the shipment (which causes added costs and time) and will have to go thru its own customs process in which invoice and certificate of origin has to be presented along with payment of taxes and duties that will apply. It’s always best to remove all original packing, stickers and zip ties and make look used from origin.

Consumables – like cleaning supplies, diapers, toilet paper, toothpaste, soaps, shampoos. These items are not considered household goods and could cause them to be thrown away, delay the shipment or fines on the shipment.

Internal combustion engine -  like cars, motorcycles, four wheelers, jet sky’s, lawnmower , etc. . Please write us to ask if these items can be imported and how they should be imported.

Any items that normally would not be inside your home but could be in your garage like – lumber, machinery or industrial equipment are examples of what cannot be included.

And the more obvious items like weapons, guns, drugs, pornography, plants, etc.
